Musical Fairy Tale – Musical

Text by Michalis Makropoulos, with lyrics and music by Giannis Georgantelis, featuring a symphony orchestra, children’s choir, and soloists.

In the bustling village on the head of nine-year-old Pavlos, Eva the Louse lived happily with her enormous family. But when Pavlos’s teacher threatens to expel him from school because of his itchy guests, chaos breaks out! A crazy plan involving a dramatic haircut and an explosion of shampoo turns their tiny world upside down. Pavlos discovers that he has superpowers and joins forces with his eccentric bald grandfather, giving Eva and her friends a whole new and exciting perspective on life.

A Greek-Canadian production by Chromamusika (Montreal), featuring the Sofia Session Orchestra, conducted by Georgi Elenkov. The children singing in the choir are members of the vocal ensembles of the English Montreal School Board (EMSB) schools.

The soloists are Dimitris Ilias, Maria Diamanti, Veronica Graniero, and Andrew Mangal.

The vocal recordings were made in Montreal, while the symphony orchestra was recorded in Sofia at Four For Music Studios.

The narration is performed by Desmond Byrne.
